We select the highest quality timbers before handcrafting our shells in our cold-moulding process to maintain the sonic integrity of the wood. Our Palladium hardware graces each drum and every single detail is checked with a forensic accuracy before our exacting quality control signs off the products prior to delivery to our customers.
Our philosophy is based on a rich heritage of British drum-building craftsmanship. British Drum Co. has established an enviable reputation when it comes to superior quality handbuilt snare drums.
From our earliest success with the stunning 20ply Maple and Birch Merlin, through to the superb Bluebird in chrome over brass, the studio favourite Big Softy and the 3000 year old Bog Oak The Duke, we are proud of the range of snare drums we offer. Our family of snare drums expanded with the introduction of The Aviator, a seamless aluminium shell snare drum, The Archer, a special drum handcrafted from English Yew, and Maverick, our first Maple snare drum.
In 2020, we are delighted to announce two Nicko McBrain Signature snare drums, Icarus and Talisman, to complement our snare drum range. These magnificent drums are really something special, with outstanding sonic properties, beautiful aesthetics and stunning details finished to Nicko's exacting standards.
